Crochet Flower Letter

There hasn’t been a lot of time for crochet recently as I’ve been working on a different kind of project these last few weeks – hopefully I’ll be able to share that one with you in a month or so.

I have managed to squeeze in a teeny weeny bit of crochet though.

Inspired by the crochet flower heart wreath by Lucy of Attic 24 in issue 15 of Simply Crochet Magazine

Simply Crochet - 15

I made this hanging Crochet Flower Letter for one of Missy’s friends for her birthday.

I used Patons 100% Cotton 4 Ply in various lovely colours…

And rather than using the flower pattern in the magazine, because the flowers would’ve worked out very dinky indeed in the 4 Ply yarn, I used the first part of Lucy’s Triple Layer Flower Tutorial – my go to flower pattern.

I then stitched on some very pretty buttons from my button stash and tied the flowers to pipe cleaners, weaving in the ends of the yarn to finish.

I wanted to add leaves but ran out of time but I think the finished result looked pretty enough. What do you think?
