Hi! Remember me? There’s not been much time for crochet lately or blogging either. I’ve been working on something a little bit different – not crochet related at all and it’s meant that crochet has had to take a back seat for a while.
I have been getting a little crochet fix here and there though. My crochet flower letter for one. I really enjoyed making this.
And then there has been my star pattern. You know the one I keep mentioning but never get around to showing you. Well, that pattern deserves a whole post of it’s own and it will get it….one day. For now though here’s a little peek.
I picked this up again on Wednesday evening and got back into my crochet stride immediately. So much so that I stayed up well past midnight working on it while watching the last 3 episodes of the Broadchurch box set. AMAZING TV I might add! How did I miss this when it was on?
And then more recently a little birthday gift for a lovely friend. I’ve been waiting for a reason to make one of these doilies from the Mollie Makes Crochet Book for ages. I’ve seen lots of lovely images by people I follow on Instagram and have really wanted to have a go myself.
The pattern is really clear and quick to work up and the finished result is soooooo pretty. I could have carried on making them all night and can picture a whole wall covered in them. I’m not sure that’d be The Mr’s cup of tea though.
What do you think?
I can’t decide which one I like best.
Have you got the Mollie Makes Crochet book? Which is your favourite pattern?
the doilies are lovely! I have been meaning to tackle that for a while now…. the cute retro flowers in there have always appealed too 🙂
I do love the patterns in this book Helen. Think I need to start from the beginning and make each one!
