Random question but do you know the collective term for nieces and nephews? Apparently there isn’t one but the Urban Dictionary defines “Niblings” as the gender neutral term. Anyway, we had a flurry of nieces and nephews (I’m not going to use Niblings as it makes them sound like a snack to have with evening drinks!) in 2014 and obviously each one required their own PatternPiper baby blanket.

Adventures and Tea Parties Blog Gem Interview
So, I mentioned right at the bottom of my last post that I had something exciting happening this week. I hope you find it exciting, I find it very exciting, you might not though. Hopefully you’ll find it interesting if not exciting. We will just have to get on with it and see.
I’ve been interviewed by Joanna of Adventures and Tea Parties as part of her Blog Gem series!!!
The Hunter V-stitch Rainbow Blanket
This has been one of my favourite makes recently. I started it ages ago, back in the summer.
One Lovely Blog Award
Finally I’m getting around to my One Lovely Blog Award post!
It was such a great surprise to receive a nomination a couple of weeks ago from Sol of A Crochet Journey, particularly as I’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging and social media front recently. So, thank you Sol, it was super lovely of you to think of my little blog.

Half Term Baking – Banana Cupcakes
Today is the first day of half term.
One of the first school holidays that I’ve had with the kids where I haven’t felt torn between them and the day job.

#ShareAdvent Roundup
As suspected I wasn’t able to contribute to #ShareAdvent everyday but here’s what I did manage:
Day 01 – Joy to the World
A little giveaway on my Facebook page to bring a little joy to someone’s world.
#ShareAdvent with Skinandblisterblog
I’m getting well and truly into the Christmas Spirit lately, attending craft fairs and crocheting Christmas Garlands.
And now that I work in a school I get an insight into how much hard work and practice goes into the Christmas performance each year…I will be singing Christmas songs in my head for many, many weeks to come!

Non-Stop November
Buckle Up – November is going to be Non-Stop.
October was pretty manic. We had a 3 day family trip to Disneyland Paris to celebrate a special birthday for my Mother In Law, Missy’s birthday a few days later, The Mr’s birthday a couple of days ago and I finished at the day job on Wednesday too.
Not to mention working on and delivering some crochet cushiony loveliness, working on my Etsy shop and being featured in this blog post by the fantastically helpful Etsy Ambassador Claireabellemakes…phew!
