Open Mesh Crochet Top – a free crochet pattern

Do you remember this top? I made it ages and ages ago and promised a pattern. Well, it’s taken a while but I’ve made another and have finally found the time to sit down and write it up and make a little chart. You can download the free pattern for the Open Mesh Crochet Top at the bottom of this post. I hope you like it!

DIY Word Art – Quotes To Live By #1

I love colouring in! In January I treated myself to a mega pack of Sharpies with my Christmas money. I’ve also got a new Arc Notebook that I’m using as a diary/planner/notebook and I love spending the odd half hour or so doodling and colouring in – a great way to switch off if you need to. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that one of the things that I’ve been colouring a lot of recently is quotes, so I thought I’d share with a little Word Art DIY.

Super Chunky Granny Square Cowl

I picked up a ball of Stylecraft Nordic Super Chunky yarn in a local shop a few weeks ago with no idea of what I was going to make with it. It was definitely an impulse buy and when I got home I thought to myself that I’d probably been a bit silly just buying one ball – what can you make with just one ball of super chunky yarn?

Well, it turns out you can make a nice little cowl.

Guest Post at LaLau Land – Finger Crochet

A dinky little post today to tell you about a Finger Crochet tutorial that I’ve put together for Laura on the LaLau Land Blog.

Laura is one of my Twitter and Creative Unites friends and she has been hosting guest bloggers this month to celebrate her birthday. I was very honoured to be invited to take part.

She asked for a tutorial and I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to share Finger Crochet with you.

I’ve used finger crochet to make this lovely cowl for my sister’s birthday – which is today! I hope she receives her post before she reads this!
